International comeniological conference – Comenius and Pansophia: Search for System, Method and Harmony of All Things

The international comeniological conference is at the same time the XXXII. International comeniological colloquium organized by Jan Amos Comenius Museum in Uherský Brod since 1971. Preparations are under way in cooperation of the Comenius Museum in Naarden, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Deutsche Comenius Gesellschaft, Comenius Forschungsstelle, University of Amsterdam and Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam.

The theme of the conference, the pansophia concept, can be perceived not just as a link with universal wisdom and general remedy of human things taught by Comenius, but in the wider context it can be connected with other philosophical and intellectual systems. Participating will be experts from Europe and other continents. They will present their papers in two parallel sections on November 18-20, 2021.

An accompanying programme will be prepared every day for those interested. On Thursday, November 18, they can join a guided tour through a new permanent exposition Mundus Comenii, which was launched by a festive ceremony on September 3, 2021. On Friday afternoon, the participants will be received at the Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam, which has its seat in a house, where Comenius stayed for some time. Following the final speeches, Comenius Museum in Naarden will officially hand over a Comenius Award. This year it goes to professor Tomáš Halík.
